Wheel of Fortune to be dropped from air leaving viewers unable to watch show for WEEKS

WHEEL of Fortune is going to be taken off air for multiple weeks, much to the disappointment of fans.
The popular program has been an evening staple for decades, giving viewers their fix of Vanna White, Ryan Seacrest and puzzles.
However, in many parts of the US the show is going to face a scheduling conflict while the World Cup is airing.
This will leave Wheel of Fortune unable to broadcast throughout the entirety of the World Cup games.
The World Cup is due to start on June 11 and shall air on TV up until July 19 in the evenings.
Fans living in Syracuse, New York who usually enjoy Wheel of Fortune at 7pm will be affected by the conflict.
The same goes for Cincinnati, where the show airs on weeknights at 7pm.
Kansas City dwellers who tune in at half 7 will also be unable to watch the show for weeks.
Anyone tuning in from Beaumont, Texas at half 6 still won’t escape the schedule shake up either, despite the show airing slightly earlier than in other states.
The World Cup will impact these states among others as it plays across 16 cities in the US, Mexico and Canada.
It’s the 23rd edition of the tournament but the first to feature 48 teams and three host countries.
Wheel of Fortune first aired in 1975 on NBC, with original hosts Chuck Woolery and Susan Stafford.
