Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have sparked fury once again, and this time it’s for attempting to overshadow King Charles. The Sussexes have come under fire for releasing wedding photos to mark their eighth anniversary while the King was visiting Northern Ireland.
Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi remarked that the Palace was reportedly “furious”, while insiders have claimed the couple attempted to “hijack attention”. Broadcaster Dee Dee Dunleavy was in agreement, believing the photos were a carefully timed publicity stunt. “It could be a coincidence, but I don’t think it is because it’s an ongoing pattern now, it’s every single time something happens,” she told the presenter.

“Before Charles was going to the US for his state visit, Harry bobs up in Ukraine and does a walkabout. There were the scones the other day where William spoke about scones and how you should eat them, and then Meghan bobs up with a post about scones.”
Rita weighed in: “That is too much of a coincidence! Meghan Markle suddenly has a fascination for scone recipes?”
Dee Dee added: “It’s happened too many times, it’s a pattern. I think it’s deliberate. They just want to focus on them.”
Rita highlighted Harry’s potential desire to reunite with the Royal Family, arguing that he should know “this is not the way to go about it”.
It comes after Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, were brutally snubbed from his cousin Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling’s upcoming wedding.
Senior members of the Royal Family are rumoured to be attending the ceremony at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester, on August 1, however, the Sussexes have reportedly not made the guest list.
“Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited,” a friend of Peter and Harriet’s told
However, TalkTV presenter Mark Dolan had a different explanation as to why the couple weren’t invited.
Speaking to Sky News host Paul Murray, he said: “It’s my understanding he’s been banned from the event. Why? Because Peter Phillips, the guy that’s getting married, doesn’t want Harry to take the headlines. And Palace officials feel that Harry and Meghan are toxic and they would ruin the special day.”
