A Strictly contestant who had to quit the competition has indicated that she won’t be back this year

La Voix appears to have ruled out a comeback on the Strictly dancefloor this year. The RuPaul’s Drag Race star competed on the BBC ballroom show during the most recent series, where she was partnered with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec, but was forced to withdraw early after suffering a foot injury, reports Wales Online.
Dani Dyer also had to bow out of the 2025 competition through injury and will be given another opportunity this year to compete for the Glitterball trophy. However, La Voix has made clear she will not be following suit. She was quizzed about it during an appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, with host Ed Balls asking her: “Why couldn’t you have a second go?”

“No, do you know what? I can’t…” she replied.
She quipped: “I cannot spend any more time with Aljaz trying to learn the cha cha cha. It was exhausting trying to get him to keep up with me. It really was.”
“I did my time,” La Voix continued. “We tried.”
The star also admitted she had been “gutted” not to receive a call from BBC bosses following the departure of Strictly hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly from their presenting duties.
The duo announced last year that they would be leaving the programme at the conclusion of the 2025 series, and after months of widespread speculation it has since been confirmed that Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe will take over as the show’s new presenting trio.

La Voix told Ed and his fellow presenter Kate Garraway: “I would have loved… I made it no subtlety that I wanted to be a, a presenting role on Strictly. Of course I would have loved it. Did I get the call? No. Am I gutted? Absolutely.”
“I wish them all the best of luck on that show,” she continued. “I didn’t get the call, but I’d like to, of course.”
So far, four celebs have been confirmed for the forthcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton, EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem and former Love Islander Dani Dyer will all take part in the ballroom contest.
