Boy, 14, killed after being hit by vehicle in horror crash in half term holidays as tributes paid to ‘fine young man’
Tributes say the young boy will be ‘sorely missed’

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has died in hospital following a tragic crash while tributes begin to pour in for the “fine young man.”
Leon Arundel was rushed to hospital on Wednesday afternoon after emergency services responded to reports of a collision near a farm in Wales.
The incident occurred near his home in the Llangynog area between Carmarthen and St Clears on October 29.
Leon was a keen rugby player and his local club, the Carmarthen Quins, is among the first to pay tribute following his tragic death.
A spokesperson said: “Leon has played with the Quins for 3 seasons and will be sorely missed by his team mates, coaches, team manager and anyone who had the pleasure and honour to meet him during his time with the Quins.
“Our heartfelt condolences go out to Leon’s family and friends.”
The club will hold a minute’s silence before its first team match on Saturday and a number one shirt representing the position Leon played will be placed on the pitch in his honour.
St Clears AFC, who Leon played football for, also paid tribute writing: “We as a club are devastated to share the heartbreaking news that one of our own, Leon Arundel – just 14 years old – has sadly passed away following a tragic accident.
“Our deepest and most sincere condolences and love go out to Kayleigh, Bobby, Charlie, Leon’s family, friends, teammates, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing this hardworking and fine young man.
“As a mark of respect all fixtures involving our teams this weekend have been postponed.”

“Leon Arundel, who was just 14 years old, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he sadly died the following day.
“Our thoughts are with Leon’s family, who are being supported by specially trained officers.”
An inquest is due to be held at a later date.
