Wesley O’Reilly and Paul Conway died in the crash involving a truck, bus and car

These are the first images of the two men who died in Monday’s Co Meath road crash horror. Photographs of Paul Conway and Wesley O’Reilly emerged on Tuesday afternoon.

Mr Conway, who was in his 50s, was the driver of the Bus Eireann bus involved in the triple crash. He was from Tallanstown in Co Meath, And Mr O’Reilly, who was 48, was the driver of the lorry also involved in the crash.

He was originally from the Finglas area of Dublin, but had moved to Loughshinny, close to Skerries in the north of the county. His death notice was published on Tuesday afternoon. He was a married man, a father of three and a grandfather to one boy.

The death notice says his funeral mass will take place in Rush, also in north County Dublin, next Monday. The notice says: “O’Reilly, Wesley (Wes) – (Loughshinny and late of Finglas, Dublin). Unexpectedly, November 24, 2025. Predeceased by his dad Brendan his brother Bren and his sister Margaret.

“Wes will be sadly missed by his loving family, mother Noeleen, his loving wife Nina, daughters Kirsty and Cody, son Ross, grandson Mason, his children’s partners Craig, Mikes and Ava, sisters, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

“May Wes Rest In Peace. Reposing at his home on Sunday evening (30th Nov) from 3pm to 5pm. House private outside of these times. Funeral mass on Monday morning at 10am in St Maur’s Church, Rush followed by burial in Whitestown Cemetery.”

Mr Wesley was a keen hunter, sources said. He was the driver of the lorry that was involved in the collision with the bus driven by Mr Conway and a car driven by a woman near Gormanston in Meath on Monday morning,.

Mr Conway was driving the Route 101 bus on the R132 in Gormanston, Co Meath at around 6:30am when the tragedy took place. The three vehicle crash, which saw upwards of 12 people injured in total, took place close to the Huntsman Inn, on a busy stretch of road.

The driver of the car was rushed by emergency services to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital, where she is seriously ill. A female teenage passenger in the woman’s car was taken to Temple Street Children’s Hospital, where she is understood to be in a serious condition.

A number of other people were also taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Gardai have launched an investigation into the tragedy and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling on the R132, at Gormanston, Co.
