GB News erupted with fury after presenter Beverly Turner discussed the blocked deportation of an Albanian drug offender. During her show, she was joined by political commentator Robert Midgley, who blasted the UK migrant system before taking aim at prime minister Andy Burnham. This comes after an immigration tribunal temporarily blocked the deportation of the criminal after ruling that removing him would be “unduly harsh” on his young daughter because she suffers from nightmares and bedwetting when separated from him.
Robert fumed: “Taxpayers should not be picking up this bill whatsoever. This guy was a supposed refugee from Kosovo, and the last time I visited Kosovo, it was perfectly safe. Why hasn’t he gone back?” The guest continued: “He then committed a slew of crimes linked to drug trafficking in the UK, and the fact that he can’t be deported because his daughter wets the bed, quite frankly, it’s a complete joke that I struggle not to laugh at.”

The former political adviser went on: “Sadly, our justice system is weak and well-funded organisations exploit loopholes that keep offenders in the UK.
“In my opinion, the whole system needs to be turned inside out. I always say the UK should embrace a Singapore-style system around immigration, which is basically zero tolerance.”
Reading out Singapore’s strict policies, Robert shared: “If you’re an undocumented arrival, it’s immediate deportation; if you commit a crime as a migrant, it’s deportation again.
“If you overstay a visa, it’s enforced removal. It’s a simple rule: if you break the law, you lose the privilege of staying.”
A second slammed: “Another lame verdict from a joke of a (non) justice system which favours those who are not law-abiding and especially those from outside our borders. What makes this criminal and his daughter so special and above the jurisdiction?”
“This utter nonsense has to stop. Criminals must be made aware that their whole family loses everything by their crimes, and if they are foreign, then the possibility that they would all be deported should act as a good deterrent,” raged another.
As a fourth viewer blasted: “Just plain ridiculous. It sounds to me like he is not a good parenting role model, and she would be better off out of his life altogether.”
