GB NewsΒ erupted with fury after presenter Beverly Turner discussed the blocked deportation of an Albanian drug offender. During her show, she was joined by political commentator Robert Midgley, who blasted theΒ UK migrant system before taking aimΒ at prime ministerΒ Andy Burnham. This comes after an immigration tribunal temporarilyΒ blocked the deportation of the criminalΒ after ruling that removing him would be βunduly harshβ on his young daughter because she suffers from nightmares and bedwetting when separated from him.
Robert fumed: βTaxpayers should not be picking up this bill whatsoever. This guy was a supposed refugee from Kosovo, and the last time I visited Kosovo, it was perfectly safe. Why hasnβt he gone back?β The guest continued: βHe then committed a slew of crimes linked to drug trafficking in the UK, and the fact that he canβt be deported because his daughter wets the bed, quite frankly, itβs a complete joke that I struggle not to laugh at.β

The former political adviser went on: βSadly, our justice system is weak and well-funded organisations exploit loopholes that keep offenders in the UK.
βIn my opinion, the whole system needs to be turned inside out. I always say the UK should embrace a Singapore-style system around immigration, which is basically zero tolerance.β
Reading out Singaporeβs strict policies, Robert shared: βIf youβre an undocumented arrival, itβs immediate deportation; if you commit a crime as a migrant, itβs deportation again.
βIf you overstay a visa, itβs enforced removal. Itβs a simple rule: if you break the law, you lose the privilege of staying.β
A second slammed: βAnother lame verdict from a joke of a (non) justice system which favours those who are not law-abiding and especially those from outside our borders. What makes this criminal and his daughter so special and above the jurisdiction?β
βThis utter nonsense has to stop. Criminals must be made aware that their whole family loses everything by their crimes, and if they are foreign, then the possibility that they would all be deported should act as a good deterrent,β raged another.
As a fourth viewer blasted: βJust plain ridiculous. It sounds to me like he is not a good parenting role model, and she would be better off out of his life altogether.β
