‘Castle Impossible’ Stars Share Unseen Restoration in 500-Year-Old Chateau
Daphne and Ian gave their fans a sneak peek at a new project.
Castle Impossible has officially wrapped up, but, luckily for fans of the show, there’s plenty of castle that still needs to be renovated! The HGTV cameras have stopped rolling, but Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira have been hard at work updating their 500-year-old chateau outside of Paris.
In case you missed it, the stars of Castle Impossible also run a YouTube account called The Beau Chateau, and they share their renovation adventures with their 130,000 followers. Recently, they shared a peek at an unseen powder room and got to work renovating it.
“After taking a closer look at the ceiling, it seems like someone was doing some plumbing work in the upper level, and that must’ve broken those two boards,” he continued. “So instead of just going to the store and buying new sheets of oak to replace what’s broken, we thought it would be better to upcycle one of these old shutters.” He and Daphne then got to work painting the boards to match the original artwork before he replaced them in the ceiling.
HGTV hasn’t shared any updates on the future of Castle Impossible, but we’re thrilled to follow along with Daphne and Ian on The Beau Chateau!
