David Beckham was every inch the proud former England captain as he roared, jumped and celebrated with his family during the Three Lions’ dramatic World Cup quarter-final victory over Norway in Miami.
The football icon was joined by wife Victoria, daughter Harper, sons Romeo and Cruz, and Cruz’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel at the Hard Rock Stadium, where around 10,000 England supporters watched Thomas Tuchel’s side battle for a place in the semi-finals.
Just a day earlier, Beckham had welcomed the England squad to Inter Miami’s training base, the home he has helped build as co-owner of the MLS club. But on match night, he was back in fan mode — tense, emotional and unable to sit still as the drama unfolded.
England were made to work for their place in the last four. Norway struck first through Schjelderup, leaving the Beckham family watching anxiously from the stands as the first half threatened to turn into a long and nervy evening.

Then came the moment that changed the mood. Jude Bellingham equalised in first-half stoppage time, sending Beckham flying out of his seat while Victoria, dressed stylishly in a grey satin top and aviator shades, somehow remained remarkably calm beside him.
The rest of the family were far less restrained. Romeo and Harper threw their arms up in celebration, while Jackie leapt into Cruz’s arms as the England end erupted. For Beckham, who wore the armband for his country 58 times, it was the kind of moment that clearly still hits deep.
Bellingham was not finished. After another spectacular strike helped England pull ahead, the final whistle sparked an even bigger reaction from the Beckham clan. David punched the air, applauded the players and beamed as Victoria leapt into his arms in celebration.
The party mood carried on around the stadium as Wonderwall rang out. Beckham was seen arm-in-arm with Romeo and Cruz, the three singing along together, while supporters soaked up a result that sent England into only their fourth World Cup semi-final.

It was a striking full-circle moment for Beckham. On Friday, he had been seen chatting with current England captain Harry Kane at Inter Miami’s facilities. Kane later said Beckham had simply wished the squad luck, adding that the team appreciated being hosted at the base he had built.
‘He’s an England legend,’ Kane said, making clear how much Beckham’s support still means to the squad. England then repaid that faith with a gritty comeback win that keeps their World Cup dream alive.
There were plenty of famous faces soaking up the atmosphere too, with Mick Jagger, John Terry and Ashley Cole among those spotted in Miami. Prince William also celebrated the result online, praising England’s performance in a tough environment and declaring the team ‘special’.
For the Beckhams, the night came during a packed family week in Miami. Harper had just celebrated turning 15, with Victoria sharing photos of her daughter blowing out candles on a pink frosted cake and making birthday wishes.

While the Beckhams took to social media throughout the day to mark the occasion, her estranged eldest brother Brooklyn, 27, remained silent.
Yet the family celebrations once again came with a familiar absence. Brooklyn Beckham was not seen with the rest of the family and had remained silent publicly during Harper’s birthday, keeping attention on the reported distance between him and his parents.
Still, inside the stadium, the mood was overwhelmingly joyful. David smiled for fans, shook hands with a US police officer after the final whistle and looked completely swept up in the emotion of England’s biggest win of the tournament so far.
For a man who carried England’s hopes for years, watching the next generation push the country towards another World Cup semi-final was clearly more than just another match. It was pride, relief and pure football emotion rolled into one unforgettable Miami night.
