Downing Street is facing a catastrophic backlash after TalkTV dropped explosive on-the-ground footage from the London protests

During a recent TalkTV broadcast, sharp criticism was leveled at Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the Metropolitan Police for their handling of two major protests that took place simultaneously in London. While the government and police focused heavy security and rhetorical condemnation on the right-wing “Unite the Kingdom” rally, TalkTV reporter Samara Gill shared explosive on-the-ground footage from the counter-protest, exposing explicit death threats directed at Tommy Robinson. The broadcast accused the establishment of “two-tier policing” and ignoring violent rhetoric from the far-left.

THE “CESSPIT” OF THE COUNTER-PROTEST The TalkTV segment focused heavily on the stark contrast between the two weekend demonstrations. Reporter Samara Gill, who attended both marches, described the pro-Palestinian and “Stand Up to Racism” counter-protest as a “cesspit” filled with “activist, mad threats of violence”.

To substantiate this claim, TalkTV aired viral footage captured by Gill at the counter-protest. In the clip, protesters can be explicitly heard shouting, “Should we shoot Tommy Robinson in the neck?” and declaring they want to “shoot him in the neck like Charlie Kirk” . The reference to Charlie Kirk, the recently assassinated American conservative figure, significantly elevated the severity of the threat.

Gill noted the massive online traction the clip has gained, mentioning that Elon Musk has become involved and that the US government is reportedly looking into banning some of the individuals featured in the chant .

ACCUSATIONS OF TWO-TIER POLICING The host, Jeremy, expressed outrage that the Prime Minister had preemptively condemned the “Unite the Kingdom” rally while remaining silent on the pro-Palestinian demonstrations. He questioned why individuals making explicit death threats were not immediately rounded up and arrested .

Gill agreed, framing the situation as a clear example of “two-tier policing.” She pointed out that while the police presence at the “Unite the Kingdom” rally was “absolutely insane”—involving over 4,000 officers, facial recognition technology, and a £5 million cost to the taxpayer—the government appeared to turn a blind eye to the extreme hostility on the other side .

“If the shoe is on the other foot, and if people at the other march were chanting, ‘Oh, let’s shoot all illegal migrants on entry’… the police presence would be madness,” Gill argued, illustrating the perceived double standard.

STARMER’S “BASKET OF DEPLORABLES” MOMENT The broadcast heavily criticized Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s rhetoric. Gill compared Starmer’s preemptive video addressing the “Unite the Kingdom” rally to Hillary Clinton’s infamous “basket of deplorables” comment, arguing it unfairly smeared “peace-loving, normal people” .

Jeremy expanded on this, warning that if the government continues to label ordinary families flying the Union Jack as “poisonous, right-wing, fascist, racist thugs,” they will alienate the hardworking British public who simply want fairness and controlled borders .

FOREIGN INTERFERENCE AND A DIVIDED NATION While criticizing the government’s approach, Gill also noted that she felt some speakers at the “Unite the Kingdom” rally went “way too far” . She concluded with a sobering assessment of the overarching situation, stating that the United Kingdom is currently “very much divided, not united.”

However, rather than solely blaming domestic political factions, Gill attributed much of the polarization to foreign state actors. “I’ll attribute [it to] Iran, China, and Russia, who have used disinformation to flood the internet and turn everyone in this country against each other,” she argued, stating that these hostile states want British resources drained by internal conflicts on the streets .
