British celebrity bodyguard Mason Haynes D!ed at the age of 52 onJuly 4. The 6ft 10in bodyguard, who had worked for A-listers such as Kris Jenner, her daughter Kim Kardashian and Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton, was involved in a horror road smash. He was declared de@d at the scene just two days before his 53rd birthday. Another person was seriously injured in the crash. He had spent 22-years working in the security industry and was also behind the Instagram account Bodyguards Against Bullying. In the summer of 2014, Mason had joined the The Only Way Is Essex cast, where he oversaw the protection of famous TOWIE stars including Dan Osborne, James Argent, Ferne McCann, and Sam Faiers in Ibiza to film the 13th series.
Hampshire Police confirmed the fatal crash involved four vehicles – two Harley-Davidson motorbikes, one of which Mason was riding, a BMW X3, and an LDV Maxus motorhome. Two drivers were arrested but have since been released under investigation, pending further inquiries.
Mason said he had been a “badly bullied skinny kid” and became a bodyguard to keep people “safe” after he was hospitalised due to severe bullying.
He had worked his way up from being a bouncer on the pub and club security scene to looking after the safety of some of the most high-profile people in the world.
Other high-profile clients who employed his services included Beyoncé, Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, David Beckham, and Sabrina Carpenter. In 2018, he went on tour with Charlie Puth. He was also hired by ABBA in 2022 when they reunited.

He was part of Kim Kardashian’s security detail in October 2016 when armed men disguised as police officers stormed the luxury Paris apartment she was staying in, held her at gunpoint, tied her up, and locked her in the bathroom while stealing millions of dollars’ worth of her jewellery.
He later spoke about the episode saying: “I can’t go into much detail about that; I was part of that team, and that incident was simply a set of unfortunate circumstances which led to something bad happening.”
He is survived by his wife, Fay, 52, their daughter, Brooke, 18, and his son, Noah, 25, from a previous relationship.
A GoFundMe with a target of £18,000 has been set up by friends to give him “the send-off he truly deserves – a celebration of a life that touched so many people”. They said the money will also help ease some of the immediate financial pressures for his family that inevitably follow such a sudden and devastating loss.
