Paul Flack’s final social media post was a heartbreaking message following his sister’s d3ath. Paul, 55, was found unresponsive at his home in Norwich on June 21. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced d3ad at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital three days later. His d3ath comes six years after his sister, TV presenter Caroline Flack, took her own life. The former Love Island host was found d3ad in her flat in London at the age of 40.
Following Caroline’s d3ath in 2020, Paul took to Instagram with a childhood photo of his sister, alongside the caption: “This will be my last post here. May those who know feel shame for eternity. Love you Caroline.” It remains his final post on Instagram. A provisional post-mortem has ruled Paul’s cause of d3ath as cardiac arrest due to hanging.

An inquest into Paul’s d3ath was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court on Monday, with coroner Yvonne Blake confirming that further enquiries were needed before the circumstances surrounding his d3ath could be established.
Paul, who worked as an artist and graphic designer, is survived by his partner and two children.
Paul appeared alongside his mother Christine and sister Elizabeth in the 2021 documentary, Caroline Flack: Her Life and D3ath, which detailed the impact that fame, mental health issues, press and social media had on her.
Christine, who resides in Norfolk, said her “biggest regret” was not speaking up during her daughter’s final weeks.
She said: “I think Caroline would be pleased with what I’m doing. I wish I had done it then, before she took her own life, and that’s my biggest regret, that I wasn’t shouting like this, then. But now I have nothing to lose. The worst thing in the world happened with losing Carrie.”
In the months before her d3ath, Caroline had been accused of assaulting her boyfriend, former semi-professional tennis player Lewis Burton, following an alleged altercation at her home in north London.
In the weeks that followed, she was charged in connection with the incident. Although Lewis did not press charges, Caroline was informed that the case was to proceed, and she took her own life.
