MAFS Australia’s Bec says she’s now ‘unemployable’ and ‘struggling to pay rent’
The experts and fellow MAFS contestants were all speechless during the third Dinner Party, as Bec took aim at almost everyone at the table. The catalyst was based off claims that her husband Danny Hewitt said Gia Fleur was more his type.
Married At First Sight Australia’s Bec Zaharia has spoken out about being fired from her job after her outburst at the third Dinner Party.
Bec opened up on the ‘MAFS Funny’ podcast about her current unemployment, saying: “I mean, it’s hard. Like I need a job you know – like I need to work. But right now my face is everywhere and it’s negative.”
She shared her desperation, adding: “Like I’ll f—— stack shelves if I have to.”
The MAFS bride explained how losing her job has taken a major toll on her personal life, as she’s now struggling to pay her rent. She said: “I’m now unemployable, I’m renting now – my house is rented out. And I am worried about where my next rent payment is going to come from, [that’s] where I’m at.”
However, she said now that would be “pretty difficult” to continue doing now she’s in a public facing position and has been seen “flying off the handles”.
Before Bec joined the experiment, she had started a new job in sales at a manufacturing company in Adelaide. It was reported that they told her it’d be best for her to come back once MAFS had aired; however, she allegedly said no as she needed “to pay her rent and mortgages”.
Ultimately, the company reportedly agreed to keep her on under the condition that “she could no longer do any publicity to promote the show”. When the third Dinner Party aired “everything changed after that”, and she was fired the next morning.
Although Bec agreed her behaviour had been poor, she was still “gobsmacked”, as she’d reportedly told them what would air prior to that meeting.
MAFS bride Bec reveals devastating impact of Danny’s ‘horrific’ final vows that ‘blindsided’ her
Married At First Sight bride Bec Zacharia has revealed just how deeply her groom’s “horrific” final vows hit her.
The grand finale was aired on Tuesday night and saw the Adelaide-based 35-year-old dumped by Danny Hewitt in a forest filled with flowers.
She said very little to the Melbourne businessman once he said his piece, but was later seen nearby sobbing with her face in her hands.
Bec has now opened up about what happened after that.
“I lay in bed and I didn’t eat. I just slept and cried. It was, it was truly one of the most horrific things I think that’s ever happened to me.”
After a few minutes of crying in the forest, she begged a producer to give her her phone and asked to be taken out of the area immediately.
“Stop I am so sad for her. I know she sucks sometimes but that is awful,” one wrote.
“Oh my god poor Bec,” said a third.
Not everyone was sympathetic to her, with some even saying she deserved it after all her antics on the show.
“If only Bec stayed in her lane,” commented one person.
“Nooooo not the consequences of all my actions,” added another.

What did Danny say when he dumped Bec at the MAFS final vows?
During his final vows, Danny remarked at how his relationship with Bec had grown over the last three months, and that they had experienced a lot of highs.
But towards the end of his speech, he explained why he wouldn’t be pursing a relationship with her.
“I’ve always said that I want to start thinking about having kids soon, and when I think of bringing kids into the world, I want to bring kids into a stable relationship and a stable, loving home,” he said.
“I believe you can have multiple soul mates in life, some who are your best friends and some who are your lovers,” Danny added.
“I believe you’re my soul mate as a friend, but I’ve come to realise there’s doubt in my mind [that] you are my soulmate as a lover.
“I’m so sorry to do this to you, but I can’t be your husband anymore. I know this might be hard to hear, but I think we both deserve a happy relationship and a healthier one.”
There is a MAFS reunion episode this Sunday, where the cast will come back together to discuss what happened at the final vows.
