Celebrity chef James Martin has set tongues wagging after stepping out with fiancée Kim Johnson, as fans became convinced the couple have quietly entered a whole new chapter — one that feels unmistakably marital.
The Saturday Morning star and Kim made a striking appearance at the TV Choice Awards, where James collected the gong for Best Food Show. But it was Kim’s left hand — glittering with a spectacular diamond ring — that truly stole the show.
Reports suggest James proposed over Christmas, and the scale of the ring has only fuelled speculation that the couple are already living life as husband and wife. Posing confidently in a sleek black gown, Kim proudly displayed the enormous sparkler, prompting fans to flood social media with congratulations — and wedding talk.

Set in platinum and featuring round brilliant-cut diamonds, the design blends timeless elegance with deep emotional intent.
“The choice shows intention and thoughtfulness,” Jessica explained. “It’s a powerful statement ring — one that suggests long-term commitment rather than hesitation.”
According to estimates, the centre diamond alone appears to be between 4.0 and 5.0 carats, flanked by two additional stones of around 3.0–3.5 carats each. With diamonds of that size and quality, the total value is believed to be in the region of £500,000 — or more, with some insiders suggesting the overall bridal jewellery could reach £1 million.
The moment is particularly striking given James’ past views on marriage. In a 2019 interview, the chef admitted weddings didn’t appeal to him, citing years of catering them as a reason. Yet friends now say his relationship with Kim has softened those views — replacing scepticism with certainty.
Kim, who was previously married to businessman Arun Nayar, is understood to have moved into James’ Hampshire home in late 2025. Since then, the pair have appeared increasingly united, sharing public moments that feel more like a married couple than newly engaged partners.
