On the 22nd of May 2025, Catherine wore this white and navy total look to attend the christening of the HMS Glasgow. Her look for that day is one of my favourites if this 2025 not only because she looked amazing but also because it was full of hidden details that showed, once again, Catherine’s love for diplomatic dressing.
First of all, Princess Catherine chose carefully the colour of her look for that day, as it was a clear nod to the Royal Navy, owner of the yatch of which she is the royal sponsor.
She debuted a very meaningful brooch, made up of the insignia of the HMS Glasgow, surrounded by thistle leaves (the national Scottish flower) .
There was a lot of people who saw a lovely nod to Princess Diana in Catherine’s look as the Late Princess of Wales wore a similar design by Catherine Walker in May 1993 to attend her first and last public appearance with Charles after her separation. Catherineโs look also reminded Princess Diana look as she inspected the troops in 1995 in Bergen in her role as Colonel in chief of the Light Dragoons.
