Realtor-developer duo Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt never rest. So, we knew they’d have some interesting life updates to share ahead of 100 Day Dream Home Season 6 — which airs Tuesday nights at 8|7c on HGTV. (All new episodes are also available to stream on discovery+ the next day.
In fact, the couple watched the premiere episode after a long day of filming one of the last few reveals of the new season. “We go nonstop during show production, and that’s the norm,” Brian tells HGTV. “We try to one-up ourselves every season, and I really feel like we’ve done it this year. It’s some of our best work.”
During Brian’s favorite episode of Season 6, he and Mika partner with the nonprofit Habitat for Humanity. “I got connected with Habitat way back in college,” says Brian. “It’s where I fell in love with new construction.”
Season 6 also features three (!) hurricane rebuilds — one of which involves transporting, via truck, a factory-built home from Georgia to Florida. “The results are incredible,” says Brian.
Ahead, learn more about what the Kleinschmidts have been up to since we last saw them on HGTV.
Vacation Time in Savannah
Season 5 of 100 Day Dream Home saw Mika and Brian gut-renovate a vacation home for their family in Savannah, Georgia. Since then, Mika reports they’ve been visiting the city monthly.
Though the couple hasn’t made any major home updates since the show premiered — “We already went over budget the first go around!” Brian jokes — they did install a fountain in the courtyard and a stained-glass window from England in the kitchen. “The Season 5 episode [featuring the renovation] is called ‘Home Away From Home,’ and that’s exactly what it is to us,” says Brian.

Brian and Mika’s dream of having a second home became a reality when this 1977 townhouse in the historic district of Savannah, Georgia, popped up on the market.

Brian and Mika wanted to impart the essence of historic Savannah into their vacation home, and a painting of the city’s iconic Spanish moss-draped oak trees did just the trick in their entryway.
Brian and Mika’s Wallpaper Collection
In November 2024, the Kleinschmidts announced a partnership with family-owned fabric company Little Cocalico. The Brian and Mika Design Collection offers wallpaper and fabric in vibrant hues and punchy patterns. As usual, Mika and Brian included their fans in all the fun: They asked social media followers to vote for their favorite designs.
“Without our fans, we wouldn’t have a show, so we try to thank them as much as we can,” says Brian.
Mika and Brian’s daughter, Jade, also had a hand in helping craft the collection. She came up with her own wallpaper design and worked on installing it in a Season 6 home. “Jade’s wallpaper is inspired by all the matcha she drinks!” laughs Brian.
Speaking of Jade, it’s hard to believe she was just 9 years old when Season 1 of 100 Day Dream Home premiered. “She’s grown up in front of the world,” says Brian.
Now, Brian’s teaching her how to drive. “I just can’t do it,” says Mika. “I give off nervous energy.”
During Season 6, Jade will lean into the design side of Brian and Mika’s business. “She’s a real natural on camera,” says Brian. Mika agrees, “Our producers joke she’s better than we are.”
Keeping Up With the Industry
Between filming, building dream homes in less than 100 days and raising a teenager, it’s a wonder Brian and Mika have time for anything else. But, of course, they do. The duo has been attending home shows up and down the East Coast. “We’ll usually give a presentation and a meet-and-greet; some ‘behind-the-dreams’ [details] and share our experience,” says Mika. The couple most recently attended the Atlanta Fall Home Show.
