Stephen Colbert revealed his final slate of Late Show guests for next week.

The host, 61, will welcome guests Jon Stewart and Steven Spielberg during his last week of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert before it concludes Thursday, May 21. Colbert will also present musical performances from Bruce Springsteen and David Byrne during his final stretch of episodes.

CBS announced the lineup on Friday, May 15, with Colbert’s first show of the week taking place on Monday, May 18 and featuring “The Worst of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” which is “not a clip show.”

The following day, Colbert will be joined by fellow Daily Show alum Stewart, 63, for a sitdown, as well as Disclosure Day director Spielberg, 79. That Tuesday, May 19 episode will then feature a performance from Byrne, 74, alongside Colbert himself.

On Wednesday, May 20, Colbert takes on his long-running segment, “The Colbert Questionert” with special guests. Springsteen, 76, will perform that night as well.

CBS has not announced guests for Colbert’s final episode the following night at the Ed Sullivan Theater.

Recent Late Show guests have included show alum David Letterman, as well as fellow late-night hosts Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon and John Oliver.

Colbert announced during his the July 17, 2025 episode that the show — which he took over from Letterman in 2015 — was coming to an end after over 30 years on air. CBS called it “purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night” at the time.

The former Colbert Report host said during his announcement that he was thankful for his TV “home” of a decade.

“I am extraordinarily, deeply grateful to the 200 people who work here. We get to do this show. We get to do this show for each other every day, all day, and I’ve had the pleasure and the responsibility of sharing what we do every day with you in front of this camera for the last 10 years,” he added at the time.

Following the news of the cancellation, Colbert revealed his next big project in March. Colbert shared via the Warner Bros. social media accounts that he’ll be writing a new Lord of the Rings film that he and his son, Peter Colbert, pitched to Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson two years prior.

“All you can do as — I’ll use a loaded term here — an artist is follow your heart and the craft that you have learned to try to turn this into something that is not fandom but drama,” Colbert told The Hollywood Reporter. “And luckily, I don’t have to do this alone. I have a great Sherpa in [co-writer and LOTR veteran] Philippa Boyens, who cares about it in the same way I do. And I will just say that every moment has been a joy so far.”

The final episode of Colbert’s show is scheduled for Thursday, May 21. Until then, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs weekdays on CBS at 11:35 p.m. ET.
