Joy Behar’s controversial joke on The View has triggered outrage and sparked a fiery response from the White House. The comedian made an off-the-cuff remark about Iran giving Donald Trump “herpes” during a segment about war negotiations.
The White House didn’t hold back, issuing an exclusive statement to Entertainment Weekly, calling Behar an “extremely unlikeable, talentless hack.” A spokesperson even coined the term “Joyless Behar” in a scathing attack, referencing the panelist’s frequent criticisms of Trump.
“She’s clearly suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” the spokesperson added, while defending President Trump’s military efforts in Iran. The statement also emphasized the success of the “Operation Epic Fury” mission, showcasing the destruction of Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities.
The drama began when Behar asked fellow panelist Abby Huntsman about Trump’s military actions in Iran, to which Huntsman responded, defending the military. Behar later clarified her comments, insisting she wasn’t criticizing the military itself but rather Trump’s handling of the situation.
This isn’t the first time the White House has clashed with The View, with past critiques directed at other panelists like Ana Navarro and Whoopi Goldberg. Tensions are clearly running high between the administration and the daytime talk show.
