Fox News political analyst Guy Benson has announced the arrival of his second child, introducing his newborn daughter, Madison Halsey, with a series of heartfelt family photos.
The television commentator posted several images on Instagram showing him holding, feeding and spending quiet moments with his baby daughter.
He continued, “We are blessed and overjoyed to welcome Madison Halsey into the world and into our family. Our hearts are filled to the brim. A baby girl. We are just so thankful.”
Colleagues celebrate the family’s newest addition
The announcement was quickly met with warm messages from friends, fellow Fox News personalities and prominent conservative figures.
Emily Compagno was among those congratulating the family, writing, “We love you so much – beautiful precious girl welcome to the world!!!”
Senior correspondent Alicia Acuna also celebrated the news, offering congratulations to Benson and his growing family.
Martha MacCallum, Maria Bartiromo, Nikki Haley and Meghan McCain were also among those who publicly shared their well wishes following the baby’s arrival.
Madison is the second child for Benson and his husband, Adam Wise. The couple previously welcomed their first child, a son, through surrogacy on November 25, 2023.
A relationship that began with one conversation
Benson has previously spoken about how his relationship with Wise began after he publicly came out while promoting his 2015 book End of Discussion.
Wise later reached out after watching Benson appear on The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly.
Reflecting on that first connection, Wise said he had been looking for guidance in reconciling being both conservative and gay.
The two eventually met in person and discovered they shared many interests, including watching the Netflix documentary Making a Murderer together.
“It became very clear pretty early on that things clicked,” Benson recalled.
Wise also reflected on why their relationship worked so well, saying they were both organized, driven people who complemented one another.
The couple became engaged in 2018 before marrying the following year in California’s Napa Valley.
Benson’s family announcement comes during another season of baby news for Fox News personalities.
Fellow Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy recently revealed during The Sunday Briefing that he and his wife, Hillary Vaughn, are expecting their third child.
Doocy surprised viewers by announcing that another baby is on the way, sharing that the couple’s newest addition is expected around his father Steve Doocy’s birthday.
For Guy Benson and Adam Wise, however, the spotlight this week belongs to baby Madison Halsey, whose arrival has been celebrated by family, friends and colleagues as the couple begins a new chapter as parents of two.
