Leavitt shared the photos on Instagram alongside her husband, Nicholas Riccio, and the couple’s son Niko.
“There is no greater blessing than motherhood. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise,” Leavitt captioned the post on Thursday.
Leavitt announced her second pregnancy on December 26 saying “The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for – a baby girl.”
The White House press secretary gave what she called her “last gaggle for some time,” on April 24 before she headed to maternity leave.
Cole Tomas Allen, 31, was arrested for attempting to assassinate the president after opening fire at the event on Saturday.
“This is the third major assassination attempt in two years, no other president in history has faced such repeated, serious attempts on his life,” the White House press secretary said on Monday.
“The president’s calm, in the face of chaos, while yet another individual was trying to take his life, was really remarkable to witness.”
On Friday, US Attorney Jeanine Pirro shared new footage of Allen opening fire at Secret Service agents after running past security at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Allen is also seen walking through the Washington DC Hilton hotel the night before the shooting.
CCTV footage shows Allen scanning the different hallways just before the dinner.
Prosecutors released a photo of Allen on Wednesday that he took hours before the shooting, showing him in possession of several weapons.
“Today, we are releasing video already provided to U.S. District Court showing Cole Allen shoot a U.S. Secret Service officer during his attempt to assassinate the President at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner,” Pirro captioned the video of Allen.
Allen, a teacher from California, is also charged with transporting a firearm across state lines and firing it during a crime. He could face life in prison.
“Let this be a message to anyone who thinks that Washington DC is the place to act out political violence,” Pirro said on Monday. “We will find you, we will track your steps from the inception of your plan, and we will prosecute you to the fullest extent.”
